Metro is hosting an Operator Career Fair on Saturday, July 29 at our Queensgate Division (1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45214) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
CINCINNATI – Ever wondered what it feels like behind the wheel of a Metro bus? Now’s your chance to give it a literal test-drive at Metro’s upcoming Operator Career Fair Extravaganza, coming up this Saturday, July 29, at our Queensgate Division (1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
 
Interested applicants will have the opportunity to fill out an application, sit for an interview, meet with current operators, and even test-drive a Metro bus on a closed course on site that day! 
 
There’s never been a better time to come onboard as a bus operator, now with better pay, benefits and stability than anytime in Metro’s history. 
 
As part of our ongoing efforts to address a continued driver shortage and to help keep up with expanding service, Metro is aggressively recruiting new bus operators to join our team. Under the new union contract, Metro operators enjoy competitive pay and benefits, including: 
 

• First year operators earn $22.67 per hour ($19 during training) with average earning more than $54,000 in their first year, with potential to earn up to $63,000 their second year.  
• Free CDL training and reimbursement for CDL licensing fees ($5,000 benefit).  
• Opportunities to earn premium pay rates on high-demand routes 
• $2,000 signing bonus upon completion of training and 95-day probationary period 
• Pay increases every six months
