Open Positions
Metro bus operators enjoy paid training, competitive pay and benefits. Applicants do not need a commercial driver’s license to apply. Qualified applicants will receive paid training by Metro to acquire their CDL, along with reimbursement for CDL fees.
Metro bus operator pay begins at $20 per hour for trainees, increasing to $22.67 per hour immediately after training, with guaranteed pay increases every six months and opportunities to earn premium pay on high-demand routes. Metro also provides comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits and free transportation passes for a spouse and dependents. New operators will be eligible to receive a $2,000 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of their trial trip and 95-day probationary period.
Upcoming Fixed Route Operator Career Fairs
Starting February of 2026, Metro will host FIXED ROUTE OPERATOR career fairs on the first and third Tuesday of every month to assist those interested in applying for a position. All fairs listed below (unless otherwise specified) will take place at Metro’s Queensgate facility, located at 1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214.

Upcoming Access Operator Career Fairs
Starting February of 2026, Metro will host ACCESS Operator career fairs on the first Wednesday of every month to assist those interested in applying for a position as an ACCESS Driver. All ACCESS job fairs will take place at Metro’s Access facility, located at 1801 Transpark Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
