Metro’S Summer Service Improvements: New Amazon Job Connection, More Frequent Arrivals & Improved Holiday Schedules

May 25, 2022

Service improvements – including more buses running more often for longer stretches of the day on four major routes, new service to Amazon’s River Road facility and improved holiday schedules – will take effect Sunday, May 29.
CINCINNATI – Those looking to give commuting by bike a try will have the perfect opportunity this Friday, when transit systems around the Cincinnati region partner to offer free fare for those busing with their bikes.

In celebration of National Bike-to-Work Day on Friday, May 20, bus riders who load a bike onto their bus’ bike rack will ride for free on Metro, the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) and Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA).

The day will showcase just how easy it is to bike and ride every day. All Metro, TANK and BCRTA buses are equipped with front-loading secure bike racks, and each rack accommodates two bikes. Bikes are not permitted on board buses unless they are foldable and can fit under a seat.

Coinciding with Bike-to-Work Day, the event, hosted by Tri-State Trails, is the culmination and signature event of Bike Month. We will have a demo front-of-bus bike rack on hand, and Trailhead Coffee and Lil’s Bagels will be available to visitors.
