CINCINNATI
– In anticipation of the severe winter weather expected through the Tri-State this weekend, all Metro and Access service will suspend fare collection beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 through Sunday, Dec. 25.

In the event of significant ice or snow, Metro will still run service, but detours and delays may be possible. Service will be free to customers during the 24-hour period to offer relief to riders who must travel during the winter storm and to help speed up the boarding process, which will enable routes stay on schedule as much as possible.

Updated service information will be provided through the following outlets:

• Metro’s Cincy EZAlerts: sign up for the free tool to receive service alerts by text or email, including information about detours and service interruptions by route. Metro customers can subscribe for alerts at go-metro.com/cincyezalerts.

• Transit App with EZFare: the free app allows you to play, pay and track your bus in real-time.

• Metro’s detour blog: follow Metro’s detour page for details on route detours.

• Customer Care Center (513-632-7575) is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

IMPORTANT: Metro buses cannot stop safely on snowy or icy hills. Customers should board at the top or bottom of hills.
