Metro To Roll Out Two New Crosstown Routes & More Service Improvements During Winter Service Changes

Two more crosstown routes

Service improvements go into effect Sunday, Dec. 3.


CINCINNATI – Metro to roll out additional Reinventing Metro service improvements during its winter service change, which will go into effect, Sunday, Dec. 3.

The following routes will have new schedules to reflect upcoming service improvements:

NEW Rt. 22 Glenway Transit Center – Madisonville
The new peak-only express crosstown service will connect the Glenway/Warsaw Ave. corridor to the Madison Rd. corridor. The route will operate between 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. running along Lower Price Hill to Walnut Hills for faster service.

NEW Rt. 36 Price Hill – Norwood
The new local crosstown will connect the Price Hill, South Fairmount, Uptown, Avondale and Norwood communities. Service will operate seven days a week between 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. every 15-20 minutes during peak periods and every 45 minutes during weekends and non-peak hours. This new route will serve popular destinations including the East Price Hill Business District, Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati, Surrey Square Shopping Plaza and Lick Run.

Rt. 5 Oakley Sharonville Crosstown
This existing route has been realigned to serve Summit Park and residential and retail destinations in the Blue Ash area.

Rt. 24 Anderson – Uptown
This route has been extended to serve the Northside Transit Center for significantly faster connections to northwest areas of Hamilton County from the eastside.

Rt. 67 Kemper Crosstown
This route has been realigned to serve the Sharonville Convention Center, downtown Sharonville and surrounding hotels and businesses. The route will also have direct service to Princeton High School.

Rt. 42X West Chester Suburban Express
At the request of Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) the Rt. 42X will be replaced by a new service, CincyLink, operated by BCRTA with service between Hamilton, Ohio and Downtown Cincinnati with stops in Uptown. The new service launches Jan. 1, 2024.

Printed schedules may be picked up at the Metro Sales Office, located downtown in the Mercantile Building, at 120 E. Fourth St., across from Government Square.
