November 24, 2021
The virtual sessions will provide information and gather feedback on Metro’s commitment to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and providing fair and equitable access to public transit.
CINCINNATI – Metro will hold a series of virtual public meetings to share information and gather input on how we can continue to meet our commitments to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and provide fair and equitable access to Metro’s fixed-route bus service, in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements.
Three sessions total will be hosted online on Dec. 8 and 9:
– Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
– Thursday, Dec. 9 at 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m.
Community members will have the opportunity to ask questions about Metro’s commitment to Title VI and provide input on the policies and standards Metro uses to plan and evaluate fixed-route bus service. Those include bus capacity to limit overcrowding, service frequency, on-time performance, and the availability of fixed-route bus service throughout the metro area. Additional policies to be developed include distribution guidelines for shelters, seating, informational resources and other amenities throughout our system.
Full details about the Title VI process, as well as how to register for one of the upcoming webinars, can be found here.
