Metro buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 20, and Presidents’ Day, Feb. 17. Access, Metro’s service for people with disabilities, will also operate on a regular weekday schedule both days.
The Metro Sales Office and administrative offices will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, while the call center will remain open during regular hours. On Presidents’ Day, the call center and Metro Sales Office will be open but administrative offices will be closed.
Metro runs on a regular schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day because many businesses are open and operating reduced holiday service would make it difficult or impossible for many people to get to work.
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Metro’s bus dedicated to Rosa Parks will participate in the Annual Commemorative March, sponsored by the Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition of Greater Cincinnati, on Monday. The march is open to the public and begins at the Freedom Center’s Harriet Tubman Theater at 10:30 a.m., proceeds to Fountain Square, and to Music Hall. The Rosa Parks bus will offer seating for those unable to make the walk who would like to participate in the march. For more information about the event, visit mlkcoalition.org.
