This weekend will be jam-packed with the best of what summer has to offer, and Metro wants to connect you to all the fun. Building on our summer-long fare-free weekends, Metro and Access paratransit will offer all rides fare-free on Friday, July 22 – in addition to Saturday and Sunday.

“With Cincinnati Music Festival, Cincy Soul, the Reds hosting the Cardinals, and even more to do, we wanted to make sure our riders could get the most out of such an exciting weekend, without having to worry about the hassle of getting there and back,” said CEO and General Manager Darryl Haley. “With all of our new service improvements including routes with 24-hour service, increased frequency and improved amenities, there’s never been a better time to leave the driving to Metro.”

Dump the Pump Summer Weekends
For 10 weekends, between Fourth of July weekend, Saturday, July 2 and Labor Day weekend, Sunday, Sept. 4, Metro and Access paratransit is providing all Saturday and Sunday trips fare-free, to ensure the community has an affordable and convenient alternative to driving to their favorite, local weekend destinations.
Weekend Service Improvements
As part of the Reinventing Metro plan, multiple service improvements have gone into effect across Metro’s fixed-route network, including 24-hour service on seven routes and two new crosstown routes. Several routes have seen new weekend service, in addition to increased frequency and span of service hours on most weekend routes. At just $2 a trip or $4 for an unlimited day pass (less than a gallon of gas), Metro is the most affordable way to travel across the county.
