Cincinnati Metro Names Ravasio & Jeng As Chief Operating Officer And Chief Financial Officer

Metro has named John Ravasio as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Michelle Jeng as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective Jan. 27, 2020.
CINCINNATI – Metro has named John Ravasio as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Michelle Jeng as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective Jan. 27, 2020.

John Ravasio is responsible for overseeing Metro’s Operations, Fleet and Facilities and Accessible Services.

Ravasio joined Metro in 2011 and most recently served as Director of Employee & Labor Relations/Employment Law before being promoted to interim COO. While in this role, he led efforts that resulted in improved fleet reliability and increased on-time performance above levels not reached in years. He was also instrumental in bringing the Access para-transit service in-house and merging the organization’s two call centers for improved customer service.

Prior to Metro, he served as an attorney for Veolia Transportation and has been a lead negotiator for multiple public transit labor contracts throughout the United States.

Ravasio holds a B.A. in Government and International Relations from Notre Dame University and a J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law.

Michelle Jeng, CTP, is responsible for overseeing the organization’s $100 million operating budget, capital program, grants administration, financial reporting, treasury management activities and investments.

Jeng is an accomplished financial professional with more than 20 years of experience in financial services and treasury management. She joined Metro in 2018 as Senior Director of Treasury followed by serving as interim CFO. While serving as interim CFO, Jeng led the organization’s 2020 Budget process and maintained a balanced budget for 2019, ending the year with a more than $1 million surplus. Under her leadership, Metro was also awarded more than $22 million in grants.

Prior to joining Metro, she served as Treasury Manager for Vertiv Co. She has also held leadership roles with TimkenSteel Corporation and Fifth Third Bank.

Jeng holds a Global Master of Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ashland University.

Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 14 million rides per year.
