Metro is rolling out Rider Rewards! Launching April 16, 2025.
We’re showing appreciation to our loyal riders with Metro’s new Rider Rewards program, now available in the Transit app.
Earn points just by riding Metro and participating in other opportunities! Then, redeem your points for free mobile bus passes or gift cards from retailers – right in the app.
GETTING STARTED WITH RIDER REWARDS

Getting Started in the Transit App
After downloading the Transit app, tap the circle icon in the top-left corner of your screen. This will open your Transit app account information.

Access Rider Rewards
Scroll down until you find the EZFare Rewards link. Tap it to access the new Rewards Center.

Create Your Account
The white EZFare Rewards screen will slide up from the bottom. From there, tap “My Profile.” You’ll be prompted to sign up for an account using your email and password. Once your account is set up, you’re all set to start earning!

Joining Rider Rewards
Earn 200 points by signing up for Metro Rider Rewards—enough for a free local route ride!
RIDING METRO
Earn points each time you ride Metro. Valid three times per week.
PARTICIPATION IN SURVEYS AND OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Earn points by participating in surveys and other special opportunities. Campaigns will be tailored to your Rider Rewards activity. Check back regularly for new ways to get rewarded!
FAQ & GUIDELINES
Do my points Expire?
- Points do not expire
- However, if you remain inactive for 6 months without opening the application, your account will be marked as “Inactive.”
- For every additional month of inactivity, 300 points will be deducted from your account.
I receive free or discounted passes, am I eligible for Rider Rewards?
No, if you receive free or discounted passes (University and Business partnerships), your Transit with EZFare account isn’t eligible to participate in the Rewards program.
I completed a campaign but have not received my points. When should I expect them?
- After completing an earning opportunity, points may take up to 30 minutes to appear in the user’s wallet
- You can check your “Transaction History” under the “More” tab. This will show all the all completed opportunities and points earned.
I accidentally redeemed the incorrect ticket. May I please receive a refund?
As outlined in the Terms & Conditions reviewed during the your registration, all redemptions are nonrefundable
