METRO TO HOST FALL OPERATOR CAREER DAY

New hires to receive $500 hiring bonus
Metro is looking for passionate, community-minded individuals with a “drive” for success to become Metro bus operators.

Metro will host an Operator Career Day for anyone interested in learning more about a career as an operator. The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Metro’s Queensgate Garage, located at 1401 Bank St. in Cincinnati.

Interested attendees will get an up-close look at the skills and training needed for the job. They will also have the opportunity to take a hiring assessment on site and learn about the many employee benefits at Metro.

Applicants do not need to have a CDL to apply. Through Metro, qualified applicants will receive assistance through the CDL process and reimbursement for CDL fees. Metro offers competitive pay starting at $15 an hour for trainees, comprehensive health and dental insurance, retirement benefits, and free transportation passes for spouse and dependents. Additionally, operators will receive a $500 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of training.

Those interested in attending the Metro Operator Career Day are asked to complete an online application here prior to the event. For more information or to register for the event, call 513-632-7559.

Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 14 million rides per year.
