CELEBRATE NATIONAL DUMP THE PUMP DAY WITH METRO ON JUNE 21

Take the pledge and receive a free day pass on the Cincy EZRide app

On June 21, Metro will join transit agencies around the country in celebration of the 13th annual National Dump the Pump Day, which encourages individuals to choose public transit instead of driving a car.

Metro is asking the community to take the “Dump the Pump Pledge” by downloading the Cincy EZRide app and signing up through Metro’s Facebook page to receive a FREE Zone 2 Day Pass to give transit a try on Dump the Pump Day.

Metro staff will also be on Government Square during the morning rush hour beginning at 6 a.m. on June 21 thanking customers with treats and giveaways. Riders posting about their bus ride on social media using #DumpThePump that day will also have the chance to win a free 30 day pass.

With rising gas prices, now is the perfect time to swap the gas pump for a bus pass. According to the American Public Transportation Association, the average household spends 18 cents of every dollar on transportation. By making the switch to using public transportation and living with one fewer car, households can save up to $10,000 annually.
