Those looking for fulfilling work with fantastic benefits will have several opportunities coming up to learn more about beginning a career with Metro.

The transit agency will host a series of Operator Career Days in March, April, May and June for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a bus operator. Career Days will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Metro’s Queensgate Garage, 1401 Bank Street in Cincinnati, on the following dates:
  • Saturday, March 10
  • Saturday, March 31
  • Saturday, April 21
  • Saturday, May 12
  • Saturday, June 2
  • Saturday, June 23
Operator Career Day attendees can get an up-close look at what it takes to succeed as at Metro by learning about a “day-in-the-life” of a bus operator. Information about the many employee benefits at Metro will also be available, as well as on-site hiring assessments and interviews.

Applicants do not need a CDL to apply. Qualified applicants will receive Metro assistance through the CDL process along with reimbursement for CDL fees. Metro bus operators earn competitive pay starting at $16.18 per hour, comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits and free transportation passes for a spouse and dependents. Operators will also receive a $500 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of training.

Those interested in attending a Metro Operator Career Day may complete an online application prior to attending the event. For more information or to register for an Operator Career Day, call 513-632-7559.
