In celebration of “Ohio Loves Transit Day,” Metro, in conjunction with the Ohio Public Transit Association and transit systems across the state, will be showing love to its riders and inviting them to share just how much they love transit with letters to their elected officials.

On Valentine’s Day, Metro will be on Government Square, treating riders to a sweet Valentine’s Day treat and a free ride ticket (while supplies last). Metro is also asking riders to share with us on social media using #OhioLovesTransit and in person, on Government Square, why they love transit and the important role it plays in their lives.

Ohio Loves Transit Day:
Join the over 3 million workers, seniors, disabled individuals, veterans and students who depend on Ohio’s transit agencies every day and take a ride on public transit Feb. 14. As you will see from those who rely on us daily, our local systems provide safe, reliable, affordable and convenient transportation when and where they need it.

Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 15 million rides per year.
