Metro will host a series of Operator Career Days in January, February and March for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a Metro bus operator. Career Days will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Metro’s Queensgate Garage, 1401 Bank Street in Cincinnati, on the following dates:

  • Saturday, January 20
  • Saturday, February 3
  • Saturday, March 10

Operator Career Day attendees can experience a day on the road with an operator to get an up-close look at what it takes to succeed as a Metro operator. Information about the many employee benefits at Metro will be available, as well as on-site hiring assessments and interviews.

Applicants do not need a CDL to apply. Qualified applicants will receive Metro assistance through the CDL process along with reimbursement for CDL fees. Metro bus operators earn competitive pay starting at $15.86 per hour, comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits and free transportation passes for a spouse and dependents. Operators will also receive a $500 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of training.
