METRO TO HOST “WOMEN ON THE MOVE” FORUM TO ENGAGE WOMEN

Metro will host “Women on the Move: A Transit Forum” on Thursday, June 15 to engage in discussions with women in the community about the public transportation issues that are important to them and the people in their lives.

CINCINNATI – Metro will host “Women on the Move: A Transit Forum” on Thursday, June 15 to engage in discussions with women in the community about the public transportation issues that are important to them and the people in their lives.

The forum will be led by Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) board members Heidi Black, senior manager of StriveTogether, Mary Miller, CEO of JANCOA Janitorial Services, and Gwen Robinson, president/CEO of Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency.

During the forum, the public will have the opportunity to hear about the current state of Metro, proposed service plans if future funding becomes available and engage in discussions with board members and fellow community women about their wants and needs for public transportation in Greater Cincinnati.

The sessions are open to the public and will be held at the following times and locations:

Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency
1740 Langdon Farm Road
10 – 11 a.m.

Cincinnati Hamilton County Public Library Main Branch
800 Vine Street
2 – 3 p.m.

Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 15 million rides per year.
