WHAT: “Have a Heart for Haiti” – Help fill a Metro “accordion” bus with relief effort supplies for Matthew 25: Ministries

Let’s send a busload of love to Haiti… on Valentine’s Day.

On Sunday, Feb. 14, Metro is asking the community to “Have a Heart for Haiti” by filling a new Metro articulated “accordion” bus with the following items for Matthew 25: Ministries relief efforts in Haiti:

• Non-perishable food
• Personal care items
• Cleaning products
• First-aid supplies
• Bottled water
• Summer clothing (new clothing only please)
• Cash/check donations (checks payable to Matthew 25: Ministries)

The extra-large Metro bus will be parked at the Hyde Park Kroger’s on Sunday, Feb. 14 from noon to 6 p.m. The store is located at 3760 Paxton Avenue.

All proceeds will go to Matthew 25: Ministries for distribution through their established channels in Haiti. Matthew 25: Ministries is a local, non-denominational organization that helps the needy all over the world.
